BOA will have multiple different game modes. Here is a list of the confirmed game modes.

Story Mode

Story Mode is the single player campaign mode and the main game mode in the game. You will first battle against a wave of six kaiju. Then you will battle the final boss kaiju, Bygone, in his lair.

Versus Mode

Versus Mode allows you to battle against an AI opponent or another player both offline and online. You will be able to choose which kaiju you and the AI plays as (if you're battling against another player, the second player will choose which kaiju they will play as) and what stage you fight in.

Practice Mode

Practice Mode allows you to practice attacks, combos, and special moves so you can become good at playing as a certain character. The opponent won't be able to move or attack, so you can practice more easily.
